Click on image to hear its call Sulphur-crested Cockatoos are most abundant in autumn and winter. Numbers drop steadily in spring as birds migrate back to the ranges to breed. Local breeding occurs, however, with records of birds inspecting nest hollows in mature eucalypts in August, and dependent young recorded from mid-December to late autumn and into July. Overall numbers are increasing, having almost tripled over the duration of the survey. R=10. BR=20.
