Shining Bronze-Cuckoos prefer denser forest and woodland habitats than their close relative, the Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo. They are most numerous in October but are almost absent from April to July. Shining Bronze-Cuckoo numbers have varied markedly over the survey period. R=75.
