Brown Falcons inhabit open grassland and woodland and also overfly the suburbs on occasion. They are quite noisy with loud cackling calls, and are also harassed by magpies and ravens. The number of sightings over the years has remained fairly steady with low numbers in 1983, 1984, 1991 and 1994. The seasonal pattern is steady, with a low in September-November, when the birds are breeding. R=79. BR=NA
