The Tree Martin is a summer migrant to Canberra. The pattern is almost the same as for the Welcome Swallow but with much smaller numbers. One flock of 200 birds was seen in Holt in January 1990. By contrast a 1982-83 peak was due to many sightings of fewer numbers at several sites and over several weeks. During the survey numbers fluctuated widely. R=98.
